Manage own User

Introduction

This guide will demonstrate some of the User management features that are available within Project on Demand that can be utilized to solve common issues relating to your own User account.

A common scenario encountered might be you forgetting your Password, this can be remedied by using the Forgotten Password feature available on the Login page.

Once successfully logged into the application, every user can manage their own User account via the My Profile page accessible through the application Header. Common usage of this page includes utilising the Edit Login Email or Edit Security Details features as detailed below, for a full list of features available see My Profile.

Forgotten Password

Instructions for utilising the Reset Password feature of the Login page are as follows:

Process Step Action within Project on Demand
1 Load Project on Demand.
  1. Load the application - first page presented will be the Login page.
2 Access the Forgotten Password feature of the Login page.
  1. Enter your Login Email.
  2. Click the Reset button - a confirmation window will appear.
  3. Click the Yes button on the confirmation window. - An email will be sent to your account Login Email address providing instructions on how to complete the procedure.
3 Follow instructions within email to complete the procedure.
  1. Click the link provided within the email.

Complete the Reset Password procedure.

  1. Provide the Security Answer to your set Security Question.
  2. Enter new Password details.
  3. Click the Complete button - if the Security Answer provided is correct and no validation errors remain, a success message will be displayed and a confirmation window will appear.

Return to the Login page.

  1. Click the Yes button on the confirmation window - this will reload the application and return to the Login page.

Edit Login Email

Instructions for utilising the Edit Login Email feature of My Profile are as follows:

Process Step Action within Project on Demand
1 Navigate to My Profile.
  1. Click the Account button in the application Header.
2 Access the Edit Login Email feature of My Profile.
  1. Click the Edit button - a context menu will be displayed with edit feature options.
  2. Click the Edit Login Email option - a child window will be displayed.
3 Enter requested information.
  1. Enter your User account Password.
  2. Enter new Login Email details.
  3. Click the Save button - if the Password provided is correct and no validation errors remain, a success message will be displayed and the child window will close. An email will be sent to the new Login Email address providing instructions on how to complete the procedure. User will be logged out and set to a Status of Pending whilst operation is in progress.

If required, use the resend feature on the Login page.

Note: Alternatively an Administrator User could use the resend feature of User Management.

  1. Attempt to login to the application - this will trigger an error message to display and a Resend button to appear.
  2. Click the Resend button - a confirmation window will appear.
  3. Click the Yes button on the confirmation window.
5 Complete procedure by following instructions in the email.
  1. Click link provided in email - this will open the application to a feature for completing the Edit Login Email procedure.
  2. Provide Security Answer to current Security Question.
  3. Click the Complete button - if the Security Answer provided is correct, a success message will be displayed and a confirmation window will appear.
  4. Click the Yes button on the confirmation window to return to the Login page.

Edit Security Details

Instructions for utilising the Edit Security Details feature of My Profile are as follows:

Process Step Action within Project on Demand
1 Navigate to My Profile.
  1. Click the Account button in the application Header.
2 Access the Edit Security Details feature of My Profile.
  1. Click the Edit button - a context menu will be displayed with edit feature options.
  2. Click the Edit Security Details option - a child window will be displayed.
3 Enter requested information.
  1. Enter the current User account Password.
  2. Select a new Security Question from the drop-down. If Custom is selected, a textbox will be displayed so a custom Security Question can be provided.
  3. Enter the Security Answer to the above Security Question.
  4. Click the Save button - if the Password provided is correct and no validation errors remain, a success message will be displayed and the child window will close.
