Locating Issues

Permissions

Issues may be found in the following parts of the application, however different Stakeholder Permissions and User Account Types are required to access specific application areas and any corresponding management features (insert, edit, remove and import) they may contain.

Stakeholder Permissions - The following are accessible if the User has the correct Stakeholder Permissions on the current Project.

Issue Management - The Issue Management Tool is the central location to find, view and manage Issues. View permission is required to access the Tool, this includes the use of any features that aid in searching Issues. Edit permission is required to enable any management features.

Documents - Certain Issues are accessible within the Documents detailed below. View permission is required to access the Document which would include any Issues identified within and Edit permission is required in order to manage the Issues within the document.

Account Types

Dashboard - Each User has access to the Project Dashboard, however the Issues displayed on the Dashboard for a Standard User and an Administrator User are slightly different, as detailed below.

Reporting - The Reporting Tool is only accessible to Administrator Users.

Issue Management

The Issue Management Tool has features for searching, viewing and managing Issues for the entire Project.

Included are two features that ease the management of Issues, these are Search Issues and the Issue Profile - these features enable Users to locate and display Issues based on specific criteria and give an overview summary of the Issues within a Project.

Users with the Edit permission will have access to the management features of the Issue Management Tool, these include: Create, Edit, Remove and Import.

Issues displayed within Issue Management are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Documents

The following Documents contain an area for identifying Issues which relate directly to that specific Document.

  • Project Mandate
  • Business Case

To refresh the displayed Issues click on the icon at the top of the Document then click the Refresh option.

Issues displayed within Documents are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Dashboard - Standard User

The Dashboard for a Standard User will display all Open Issues owned by that User.

The displayed Issues can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.

Issues displayed on a Standard User Dashboard are sorted in ascending order by Review Date then ID and paged to 5 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Dashboard - Administrator User

The Dashboard for an Administrator User Account by default will display the Top 5 Open Issues sorted by Review Date. This view can be changed to display the Top 5 Open Issues sorted by Impact by clicking on the toggle button to the top right of the expander displaying the Issues.

The displayed Issues can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Reporting

The Reporting Tool is used to generate, print, email and store Document or Project Status Reports.

The Project Status Report contains an area detailing the Issues within the current Project. This may include a condensed summary for the Project and selected Issues based on their Impact.

Issues displayed on a the Project Status Report are sorted in ascending order by ID.
