Managing

Creating a new Step

Clicking on the New button will display a child window so a new Step can be recorded.

Once the Description is set the new Step can be saved by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the child window. If any validation errors are encountered they will display at the bottom of the child window and must be rectified before the new Step can be successfully saved.

Upon successful completion of creating a new Step the child window will close, a success message will display at the bottom of the application and the newly created Step will be selected in the DataGrid.

If the Cancel button is clicked, the child window will close and nothing will be saved.

Editing a Step

Selecting a Step and clicking on the Edit button will display a child window so the Step can be edited. Alternatively the row can be double-clicked to perform the same action.

Once all necessary changes have been made the Step can be saved by clicking the Save button at the bottom of the child window. If any validation errors are encountered they will display at the bottom of the child window and must be rectified before the Step can be successfully saved.

Upon successful completion of the editing process the child window will close and a success message will display at the bottom of the application.

If the Cancel button is clicked, the child window will close and any changes will be cancelled.

Incrementing a Step

Selecting a Step and clicking on the button will increment that Step's position within the list. The Step in the last position in the list cannot be incremented, this also includes a single item list.

Decrementing a Step

Selecting a Step and clicking on the button will decrement that Step's position within the list. The Step in the first position in the list cannot be decremented, this also includes a single item list.

Removing a Step

Selecting the Step to remove and clicking on the Remove button will display a removal confirmation window. If Cancel is clicked the confirmation window will close and the Step will not be removed. If Yes is clicked the selected Step will be removed and a successful removal message will be displayed at the bottom of the application.

If the last Step on a page is removed the DataGrid will navigate to the previous page upon successful removal.

Importing Steps

Documents that contain Steps have the ability to import Steps from other Projects via the Import feature of the Document.

Clicking the Import button will display the Import Document child window.

In order to view and import Steps from another Project, a Project must be selected from the "Import from Project" drop-down at the top. The drop-down is populated with any other Projects in the application.

From the import button there are two options for importing Steps within Documents:

Import Current Tab - Imports all data on the currently selected tab. If the intention is to import Steps, the selected tab must be the Steps tab.

Import All - Imports all Document data, including any Steps identified on the Steps tab.

Upon successful import the Import Document child window will close, a success message will be displayed at the bottom of the application and the last of the newly imported Steps will be selected.
