What is the Communication Management Plan?

The Communication Management Plan outlines the communication strategy that is to be employed within the Project.

The Communication Management Plan is used to define the communication vehicles that will be utilised and how and when they will be used.

The "Project Details" tab has the following properties:

Name Description Possible Values
ID - Title The unique Project identifier and the title of the Project. These properties are set on the Project and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.
Description The Project description. This property is set on the Project and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.
Background Describes where the idea for the Project originated. This property is set on the Project Mandate and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.
Objectives Describes what the Project is to achieve. This property is set on the Project Mandate and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.
Justification Describes the justification for the Project in terms of cost versus benefit. This property is set on the Project Mandate and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.
Sponsor(s) The Project Sponsor is a senior management position whose role is to own the Project and to ensure that the benefits are fully realised. This property is set on the Project Mandate and cannot be modified within the Communication Management Plan.

The "Document Purpose" tab has the following properties:

Document Purpose Provides context for the reader by describing the purpose of the Communication Management Plan and what it is used for. Rich Text.
Document Scope Defines what is included in and excluded from the Communication Management Plan document. Rich Text.

The "Communication Management Strategy" tab has the following properties:

Name Description Possible Values
Communication Management Strategy Describes the overall communication management strategy that is to be employed within the Project. Rich Text.

The "Meetings" tab has the following properties:

Name Description Possible Values
Meetings Defines the key meetings that will take place including their purpose, attendees and frequency.

List of Meetings.

Meetings displayed are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

The "Reports" tab has the following properties:

Name Description Possible Values
Reports Defines the key reports that will be published including their purpose, audience and frequency.

List of Reports.

Reports displayed are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

The "Presentations" tab has the following properties:

Name Description Possible Values
Presentations Defines the key presentations that will take place including their purpose, audience and frequency.
