Locating Dependencies

Permissions

Dependencies may be found in the following parts of the application, however different Stakeholder Permissions and User Account Types are required to access specific application areas and any corresponding management features (insert, edit, remove and import) they may contain.

Stakeholder Permissions - The following are accessible if the User has the correct Stakeholder Permissions on the current Project.

Dependency Management - The Dependency Management Tool is the central location to find, view and manage Dependencies. View permission is required to access the Tool, this includes the use of any features that aid in searching Dependencies. Edit permission is required to enable any management features.

Documents - Certain Dependencies are accessible within the Documents detailed below. View permission is required to access the Document which would include any Dependencies identified within and Edit permission is required in order to manage the Dependencies within the document.

Account Types

Dashboard - Each User has access to the Project Dashboard, however the Dependencies displayed on the Dashboard for a Standard User and an Administrator User are slightly different, as detailed below.

Dependency Management

The Dependency Management Tool has features for searching, viewing and managing Dependencies for the entire Project.

The Search Dependencies feature enables Users to locate and display Dependencies based on specific criteria.

Users with the Edit permission will have access to the management features of the Dependency Management Tool, these include: Create, Edit, Remove and Import.

Dependencies displayed within Dependency Management are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Documents

The following Documents contain an area for identifying Dependencies which relate directly to that specific Document.

  • Project Mandate

To refresh the displayed Dependencies click on the icon at the top of the Document then click the Refresh option.

Dependencies displayed within Documents are sorted in ascending order by ID and paged to 25 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Dashboard - Standard User

The Dashboard for a Standard User has the option to display all Unresolved Dependencies owned by that User.

The default display on the right side of the Dashboard will be all Unresolved Constraints owned by that User. This view can be changed to instead display Dependencies owned by that User by clicking on the toggle button to the top right of the expander displaying the Constraints.

The displayed Dependencies can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.

Dependencies displayed on a Standard User Dashboard are sorted in ascending order by Review Date then ID and paged to 5 items per page.

Additional properties can be displayed by using the row details feature of the DataGrid.

Dashboard - Administrator User

The Dashboard for an Administrator User Account has the option to display the Top 5 Unresolved Dependencies sorted by Review Date.

The default display on the right side of the Dashboard will be the Top 5 Unresolved Constraints by Review Date. This view can be changed to instead display the Top 5 Dependencies sorted by Review Date by clicking on the toggle button to the top right of the expander displaying the Constraints.

The displayed Dependencies can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button at the top of the expander.
